In a crowded, often unregulated tutoring market, it can be hard to know who is genuinely equipped to teach your students well. Whetstone was founded to change that: we work with highly experienced, qualified teachers who understand curriculum, assessment and the realities of the classroom.
What began as a small group of trusted colleagues from leading schools has grown into a carefully built network of specialist educators, all selected for their track record and professionalism. Our role is to make that standard of teaching reliably available wherever it is needed, so that families, schools and agents can offer support that is rigorous, trustworthy and rooted in real educational expertise.

Eleanor brings nearly two decades of experience teaching English Literature across leading independent schools in the South East.
An Oxford graduate with an M.St. in English, she has examined for AQA at A Level and mentors students applying for English at Russell Group universities.
James
James is a former Head of Mathematics with over 25 years' experience preparing students for GCSE, A Level and STEP papers.
A Cambridge mathematician, he has coached pupils to national-level Olympiad performances and supports applicants to Maths and Engineering at Oxbridge.
Daniel
Daniel teaches Economics and Business Studies, with over a decade of experience across leading independent schools.
An LSE graduate with experience in corporate finance, he supports applicants to Economics and Management courses at top universities, and has examined for a major UK exam board.
