TUTORING & TEACHING EXPERIENCE:
I have been involved in different kinds of secondary-level school teaching for 3.5 years. As of November 2025, I will take up a full-time teaching position for French and Spanish at Eltham Hill School in Greenwich, London. Previously, I taught these same languages at The Grey Coat Hospital, Westminster, where I also ran a successful after-school Japanese club every week.

I graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2022 with a first-class BA in French, Japanese and Spanish, on two occasions winning an academic prize for the highest exam results. I then received my PGCE in 2023 in Secondary French and Spanish from Magdalene College, Cambridge, before returning to the same college in 2024 to study for an MPhil in French, earning a distinction overall.

Alongside my time in secondary schools, I have taught as a private academic tutor. I have worked with eight different clients, both based in the UK and internationally, all of varying abilities, ages and needs. I make sure to meet the individual requirements of each student and spend a large amount of time planning sessions that are tailored to their learning styles and priorities. As part of this, my teaching approach is also built on kindness and on building a strong and engaging relationship with each of my tutees, working hard to support them holistically throughout the year. Doing so has helped a number of students undertaking GCSEs and A Level exams to not only meet their predicted grades but achieve higher.

EXTRA-ACADEMIC INTERESTS:
Outside of my work, I am an active choral singer. As an undergraduate, I performed in regular concerts with Birmingham University Singers, including the BBC Proms in 2019. During my postgraduate studies at Cambridge, I was a member of Magdalene College Chapel Choir, singing in weekly evensongs and special university events. When time allows, I also thoroughly enjoy writing fiction, learning languages, keeping up to date with political affairs, and spending time with my beloved cats.
