TUTORING & TEACHING EXPERIENCE:
I have been teaching Maths for over a decade, in a combination of English and Scottish schools. Therefore, I am an expert in the English, Scottish and International Baccalaureate curriculums. Since I started teaching, I have been in charge of the Maths competitions and extracurricular Maths clubs in all schools I have worked at. I have experience in preparing students for Oxbridge exams and also for interviews.

Over the years, I have tutored several students, both online and in person, who have consistently obtained excellent results. I believe the keys to successful teaching/tutoring are: establishing great relationships between students and teachers, setting high expectations and a strong work ethic.

I teach all secondary year groups, and I have been a form tutor since I started teaching. I have also had boarding house duties while working at Fettes College (in Edinburgh). Although a Maths teacher, I find that our pastoral role is of paramount importance no matter the context, in order to provide the best support to the wellbeing of our students.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

• PGCE Secondary Mathematics via School Direct Programme
  University of the West of England (UWE), Bristol, and Cabot Learning Federation

• PhD. in Physics
  European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) and École Polytechnique Fédéral de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland.

• Physics degree (equivalent to MSc. in Physics)
  Equivalent to First Class Honours (3rd place in graduating class). University of Seville, Spain.

EXTRA-ACADEMIC INTERESTS:
As you can imagine, I love Maths and Physics! But beyond that, I am a classical music enthusiast and keen classical pianist (I have got a professional diploma in piano). I love the outdoors, especially hiking in the mountains. I am a voracious reader as well of both fiction and non-fiction. I love languages as well and I can speak Spanish, English, Italian, French and German fluently.
