SUBJECTS TAUGHT:
English Literature and Language, French, 7+, 11+ and 13+, university applications

TUTORING & TEACHING EXPERIENCE:
I’m an engaging, dynamic and experienced tutor, with a First Class BA and Master’s in English from the University of Oxford, where I was placed 15th in the year overall. Formerly a teaching assistant, I’m now an academic tutor alongside my work in museum education. This means my teaching style is both creative and rigorous.

I’ve tutored students aged 6 to 18 in preparation for school entrance exams, GCSEs, A Levels and the IB. I’m familiar with a range of exam boards and qualifications, including CIE English Literature/Language exams, OCR and AQA English Literature/Language GCSEs, and the Eduqas and OCR English Literature/Language A Levels. I am well-versed on the entrance exams for a range of top independent and state schools, and enjoy working with students to prepare them for entry.

EXTRA-ACADEMIC INTERESTS:
Outside my work in education, I enjoy writing book reviews for a range of publications, including the Times Literary Supplement and Poetry London. I am also a keen musician, and play the flute and whistle. In good weather, however, I love walking, and exploring the countryside near London!
