TUTORING & TEACHING EXPERIENCE:
As Head of Careers at Kent College, an independent girls school based in Kent I played an key role supporting all of our school community in finding a pathway to a great future. I particularly enjoyed mentoring Sixth form and working with them to expand their horizons as they prepared for university and beyond. As well as supporting UCAS and International university applications I enjoyed caring for students through the rigours of A level study, boosting confidence and self awareness, ensuring they achieved their goals. I have worked in a several schools in London and Kent, most recently covering the Head of Careers role at City of London School.
My career started in HR within the technology and finance sector where I was responsible for developing resourcing strategies for key senior technical roles. I found working with the Graduate Talent Programme particularly rewarding, supporting and developing young people as they embarked upon their careers.
After some time spent overseas in India teaching English I returned to the UK with a young family and enrolled on the Career Management Masters programme as this combined my commitment to developing young talent with my interest in motivational theories and my personal experiences to date. I continued to work in the corporate sector, developing coaching strategies within Investment Banking and Finance as well as leading career development seminars delivered globally throughout the pandemic for Armstrong Wolfe, an executive search and advisory business.

EXTRA-ACADEMIC INTERESTS:
I live in the beautiful Kent countryside and outside of work I enjoy walks with my gorgeous Labrador Simba and catching up with my family and friends. I love to travel and have a particular love of Asia following my time in India. I also practice yoga as a way of continuing my connection and maintaining balance in my life. I love being close enough to London to regularly attend the theatre and exhibitions at our wonderful museums and galleries. I have two children who have recently graduated from university and studied at an international school so I understand the transitional process from all perspectives together with the crucial value of support for young people and their unique backgrounds throughout education and in preparation for life beyond school.
