TUTORING & TEACHING EXPERIENCE:
I am a fully qualified teacher with over 10 years of tutoring experience. I’ve taught in the state and public sector in schools across Glasgow, London, and Tokyo. I now work exclusively online, supporting children who are preparing for entrance into the UK’s top independent schools through 7+, 8+, 11+, and 13+ entrance exams. I have a strong track record of successfully placing students at leading schools both in the UK and internationally. I also specialise in working with children who have English as an additional language or who have additional support needs such as dyslexia or autism spectrum disorder.

My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that children learn best when they are happy, confident, and engaged. I take time to build a strong, trusting relationship with each student and tailor every lesson to suit their individual needs, strengths, and interests. I adopt a skills-based approach to ensure that children can confidently apply their knowledge in any exam format. I also work closely with parents, forming a strong partnership that supports the child’s learning both in and out of lessons. Most of my students are based in London or overseas, and I’m experienced in helping families navigate the UK school system, particularly during international transitions.

EXTRA-ACADEMIC INTERESTS:
Outside of teaching, I’m a mum to a son and daughter and I love spending time with my family. We often visit St Andrews where we enjoy beach walks together (I also love to wander around the local bookshop ‘Toppings!) I’m a keen cook and I also love to jog through the countryside where we live.
