TUTORING & TEACHING EXPERIENCE:
I am a Biology teacher at Fettes College in Edinburgh where I am also an Assistant Houseparent in a girls’ boarding house. I have worked in a number of schools in Scotland as a Science and Biology teacher for the last 4 years. I am passionate about supporting learners to achieve their best and to establish the most effective learning methods for each individual student through encouragement, direction, and support.
I have experience of teaching and tutoring across a range of exam boards and ages. My strengths are resource development, tailoring teaching to individual needs, and communication with parents/carers to support the learner. I also have experience as a teaching assistant supporting SEN students, which has enabled me to identify the most useful techniques for learning and engagement.
As well as teaching, I also support students with their Extended Project Qualification, university applications, and personal statements.
